SMALLER REGIONAL CAMPUSES
As you can see it is a smaller campus. We are amalgamated with 3 other campuses across the region. This way we can offer much more in the way of services and courses to the community. However it means being very flexible in how we use our resources. The distance between each is up to 100 kms. Obviously information technology plays a big part in helping us to do this.
I really enjoy working at the smaller facility as it has kept the feel of a small country town. Everyone knows each other and gets on well.
It look´s lovely! How many students do you have enrolled at campus?
ReplyDeleteDonna, thanks for the very interesting post.It looks like a beautiful place to work
ReplyDeleteHi Froken. Approximately 155 students are enrolled at this particualr campus across all the courses. This is one of the smaller campuses. And yes it is a nice place to go to work. :) I enjoy going to work.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wounderful garden, I belive that students and staff loves the school envoirement.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see this beautiful garden. If I understood you correctly, you teach the students that participate in the Health programme? How many of the 155 students are they? How large are the classes that you teach? Are you comfortable with the size of your classes?
ReplyDelete(I ask this because I prefer to teach round 10-15 students in a class, but next year I am going to have a class with 26 students and that worries me a bit...)
Hi Jenniann. In this course, at this campus there are 18 full-time students. I have a couple of part time ones who are trainees and some that only need to come and make up certain subjects. The size is good. Any bigger and I dont seem to keep track of who might not be understanding. Who might slip through the cracks if you know what I mean.
