Barn- och Fritids programmet, Child and recreation program Photo 3

This is an example of a teacher’s workspace. A few teachers have their own spaces while others share. Sharing is the norm and up to 8 teachers can be housed in the same workspace. Most teachers are provided with at laptop that is being used both in their workroom as a planning and communications tool, and in the classroom for teaching purposes. The schools own platform is frequently used by teachers, student, principals as well as other staff to communicate.

  1. These spaces look a lot like ours do and sometimes we are very corwded. Our teachers also use technology a great deal and the Technical and Further Education Colleges use MOODLE as their learning platform. Do you use technology a lot in your teaching?

I can belive that it´s not easy to prepare studying material when you share room with so many other teachers.

  5. Yes we are becoming more technological but some things are certainly still in paper formats. Sometimes our teachers find it difficult when space is limited. Our teachers have portable offices sometimes and they store documents and resources in trllleys that they can take with them. Do any of your teachers do this?

  6. Ros: Ha ha, that is exactly what they do! some even have old shopping carts (the small ones you carry) lodging around all the material such as books, laptop and so on.
Martina and Anna: I think they just try to focus, some use headphones and listen to music.
